I ask everyone who came into contact with me without their mask on to get tested,” Öztrak wrote on his Twitter account.

Öztrak has become the third high-profile Turkish politician to contract the COVID-19.

Binali Yıldırım, a lawmaker from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) who has served as minister and prime minister under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, had announced last week that he tested positive for the COVID-19.

Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA) chair Ali Babacan had also announced that he was infected with the virus.
