The house arrest and international travel ban previously imposed on US Pastor Andrew Craig Brunson have been lifted. Brunson, who has been sentenced to 3 years, 1 month and 15 days in prison, has been released considering the time that he spent in prison.

The CHP was founded on 9 September 1923, about one and half month before the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey. The first President of modern Turkey’s oldest party was M. Kemal Atatürk.
